The Wednesday Society is an Internal golf Society open to all adult male members of Skerries Golf Club.
As the name suggests it takes place each Wednesday and is a 9-hole singles stableford competition.
The Societies Spring session starts on Weds 5th Feb 2025 and is planned to finish on Weds 30th April 2025.
The entry fee for the session remains at €35 (includes dinner on the final day). Fees may be paid to Society officers or placed in the Weds Box in the Professional’s Shop.
All fees placed in the box should be sealed in one of the envelopes provided. Your name should be written on the same in block capitals. Receipts will be available for collection from the Bar Staff approximately one week following payment.
Joining up is informal, just enter your name on the manual competition entry sheet (in BLOCK CAPITALS please) and you are in. However having done so you will be expected to pay the appropriate fee, preferably at an early stage during the session. The order of play is as per the official Club Competition time sheet. There is no weekly entry fee payable.
Weekly prizes are mainly sponsored by individuals or groups of Weds Society members. Prizes for final days are funded from Society subscriptions or major sponsorship support.
Competition winners are moderately penalised for future week’s competitions.

Our Caterer Mizan has undertaken to have at least two Wednesday specials each week for your delectation.
