“The Wednesdays Captain’s Prize”

A very memorable day for Wednesday’s Captain Pat Loughman, putting the finishing touches to his term as Captain, Pat did it in his usual warm and inclusive style. A really nice touch was the honour given to senior members of the Wednesday’s being invited back for a celebration meal for their service and commitment to the Wednesdays Society. The Wednesdays Society committee are to be commended for the planning and work that went into the evening and all through the season, arranging sponsors, results and encouraging members to join The Wednesdays. Pat Loughman was extremely thankful to all of the sponsors during his term and into the future as “Sponsors are the lifeblood of The Wednesdays”

It would be unusual where Pat is involved for there not to be a song, his Captain’s Prize was no different. There was a line up of willing singers and musicians that made for a wonderful night and a great tribute to the work and commitment from Pat to the role.

Congratulations Pat and best wishes to incoming Wednesdays Captain, Brendan Ryan.
