Ladies Teams Update 29th May 2025

Last weekend the Carton Cup Team played Corrstown with all 5 matches away. Despite a superb performance the Corrstown team were victorious.

Well done to Nuala Mc Grath and Sheila Mc Gloughlin for the mentoring they provided to this team.  They put together a group of ladies who have now experienced inter club golf having only recently taken up the sport through ‘Ladies in Golf.  They now know how to prepare for matches which has given them an appetite for interclub competition. Well done to you both and your experienced caddies for a job well done.

On Monday 26th the Fingal Ladies played Forest Little winning one and a half matches at home and one match in Forest Little. They play their next match on Mon.16th June against the Island.

The Mary McKenna Team travelled to Carton House on Tues 27th to play the second leg of their match. The ladies enjoyed the experience of playing the O Meara course despite some heavy showers. Unfortunately, the golf fairies were not on our side and Carton house advanced to the next round.

Thanks is due to Marian Bentley and Catherine Noone who spent hours selecting the most suitable team, organising ,arranging matches ,making numerous phone call etc. We all appreciated your efforts.

This weekend on Sunday 1st June, the Junior Cup commence their campaign against St Anne’s with 3 matches away and 2 matches at home starting at 2.30pm.

On Mon. 2nd the Intermediate foursomes are playing their second round match against Blackbush starting at 2.30pm with 2 matches home /away.

Best of luck to all the ladies and once again please try to come out and support our teams. Its great to see members on the  fairways.
