Ladies Team News – 16th July

On Sat 12th Maire  Keogh’s Leinster Women’s Challenge Trophy Team met Blackbush. This competition run by Golf Ireland is stableford played over 9 holes with the best 3 cards counting from 5 players. Having completed the round, a countback was needed to separate the teams. Fortunately this time Skerries were victorious. The team now play Ashbourne on Sat 2nd August with Skerries having home advantage.

On Sunday Grainne O Connors Junior Cup Team met Dundalk in the Leinster Semi Final with Dundalk having home advantage.  3 matches in Dundalk and 2 in Skerries. We got off to a great start with Jen O Loughlen winning her match on the 13th. At the same time, Muireann Bagley won her match in Dundalk also on the 13th. Despite their best efforts Ciara Boylan  and Joanne Kinsella lost their matches so it was down to Sarah Jane McNally playing in Dundalk who had a great match but unfortunately lost her match on the 18th. Many thanks to Grainne O Connor for managing the team this year.

On Sunday next the 20th July, Camilla Mc Loughlins Revive Active Team play Donabate in the 4th round of this competition. Donabate has home advantage with 2 matches at each venue. We would appreciate all Ladies who can to please come out on Sunday at either venue to give as much support as we can to this team. Matches commence at 2.30 in both venues.
