One Club Proposal Information- Part 4

The “One Club” model represents not just a structural change but a step forward in equality and inclusivity, reflecting the vision of Golf Ireland. It ensures our club operates cohesively while maintaining its rich traditions.
Why One Club?
Golf Ireland’s unified approach encourages a gender-neutral structure in clubs.
Equality is central to modern society and sports, offering equal opportunities to all members.
Financial benefits: Gender-neutral clubs are more eligible for sponsorships and grants from large companies and government sources.
Key Proposal Changes
1. Dissolve Men’s and Ladies Clubs.
2. Simplify governance with a single AGM.
3. Establish a Golf Subcommittee to manage golf-related responsibilities, replacing the Men’s and Ladies Committees.
Benefits of the One Club Model
  • Streamlined structure, One AGM instead of three.
  • Elimination of duplication.
  • Increased inclusivity and collaboration.
  • Modernizes the club to align with Golf Ireland’s vision.
Our plan is to host an information evening in the coming months, this will be followed by a Special General Meeting where you will have a chance to vote on the “One Club Proposal”.
