Alfie Kane Memorial Golf Classic

Members Kevin and Suzanne Kane hosted their 21st annual golf classic at the end of the summer, benefiting St. Francis Hospice in Dublin. The event, established in memory of Kevin’s father Alfie Kane, supports the hospice’s vital palliative care services. This year’s event raised an impressive €10,921, bringing the 21-year total to €105,046.

This Golf Classic has become a cherished fixture in our club’s calendar, with members consistently showing tremendous support and enthusiasm for this worthy cause year after year.

Kevin and Suzanne extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who supported this wonderful cause.

Special thanks go to:

Key Sponsor ‘Kube Kitchens’ for generously sponsoring the 1st place team prize.

Murphy and Aviva for providing golf shoe bags and insulated water bottles.

Harvest Resources for sponsoring electronic goods for the raffle.

The event, a 4 Ball Rumble with best two scores counting (all 4 on the 18th), saw 39 teams and 156 competitors participate. The winning team from Ashbourne, North County Dublin, led by Kevin’s sister Maura King, set a record score of 107 points.
